LOCATION
1310 N. Ritchie Ct. is one block west
of Chicago's Lakefront between Goethe and Banks. Beautiful Goudy Square Park is at the south end of the block. The Magnificent Mile on Michigan Avenue is five blocks to the south. Lincoln Park is five blocks to the north. For walkers, Walk Score.com currently rates the location as a hefty 96 out of a possible score of 100 and its Transit Score is 91. It’s a few blocks to the Red Line at Division & Clark.
THE
BUILDING
Ritchie Tower was named after The Reverend George Ritchie of Boston whom came to Chicago in 1875. It was built in 1963 and is one of three buildings in Chicago designed by architect, Richard M. Barancik of the esteemed Barancik, Conte, and Associates. Ritchie Tower was one of the very first condominium conversions in the Gold Coast and initially was by invitation only. The Tower has 30 floors with 105 units and is staffed 24-hours with a door
person. It features an outdoor pool, sun deck, exercise room and storage lockers.
The building has leased indoor parking and is accommodating to pets up to 25 pounds. Utilities included
in the monthly assessment include air conditioning and heat, cable TV, scavenger and
water.
THE DWELLINGS
The building has two and three bedroom
units. There are a few combined units offering 3-4 bedrooms. Cooking appliances are electric. Many units have in-unit laundry. (But they can no longer be added to units). Penthouse units have a balcony and there are a few patio units as well. Apartments on the
east side of the building have lake views.
